Dirt Camp Guide and Instructor Summer Program. This is an all summer program designed to give young people direction in the mountain bike world. During the summer, CITs learn about leadership training, advanced bike repair, trail building and group planning. The program is given in English only. This is work program for a mininum of 4 weeks, every additional week is 575$. You choose your weeks.

Dirt Camp session 1 is a Downhill Camp that takes place at Bromont. A special team together with Canadian Champion, Hans Lambert will be creating the atmosphere to teach teens and adults the racing ropes. During this week, we will ride downhill every day at Bromont and surrounding areas. During the 5 days of camp, campers will learn the different skills of mountain biking. They will study cornering, jumping, riding steep terrain and the body position that goes with each of those facets. Campers will also learn about repairing their bikes. They will learn about evaluation and problem determination. They will learn to adjust their gears, brakes and have a chance to look at their suspension settings and adjust their bike accordingly. During this week, we will ride Bromont every day and sleep in Racine every night. During the 6 days of camp, campers will learn the different skills of mountain biking. They will study cornering, jumping, riding steep terrain and the body position that goes with each of those facets. In the shop, campers will learn about repairing their bikes. They will learn about gears, brakes and wheel truing mainly. They will have a chance to look at their suspension settings and adjust their bike accordingly. Rain days are spent at TAZ Montreal. Dirt Camp session 7 is a Downhill session and takes place at Bromont. This is a session where we will work specifically with the downhill side of things. From June 21st to June 25th, we are planning a 5 day race workshop with Hans Lambert, Jeff Silas, Phil LeMaistre and Vaea Verbeek. Participate in as many days as you like, this is a drop in clinic. In this workshop, we will access each riders strengths and weaknesses interpreted by each coach. Those interests/problems will be looked at differently depending on who you are working with that day. Each rider will have the opportunity to work each coach multiple times through the week. This is an all ages week and we invite anyone to come out and work with Canada’s defending champion Hans Lambert. BROMONT PASS REQUIRED FOR THIS SESSION.

The Woman's course is a two day class. The clinic is Saturday August 7th and Sunday August 8th. During the weekend, coaches will take the time to initiate riders of all levels to the sport, teaching them balance, control, braking, body position and more over easy to moderate terrain. Upon meeting at Bromont, groups of beginners, intermediates and advanced will be determined and set off to a variety of trails best suited to their abilities and goals. All equipment is included, lift tickets extra. When you sign up, write in your phone number, your email and your information where it asks for parent info. The parent info applies only to children.

Dirt Camp goes to Whistler. Sign up for 1 or 2 weeks of big mountain ridding with Jeff Silas and the crew at Whistler. As a group will be staying together in one large house (see whistler page) and ridding together and also apart. Minimum age for this session is 15 and only for strong to advanced riders. This trip includes supervision for the week, airport transportation, suppers and accommodations. Airfare, food (breakfast-Lunch) and lift tickets are not included. Day tickets are 40$ per person for DH but dirt Jumping and skate bowls are free. Tickets are sold in packs of three so riders are recommended to have one day off during their 7 days. Price for one week 650$ Price for tow weeks 1150$ Campers for this session, will need to arrive Monday August 16th and Depart Monday August 23rd. An escort will be waiting for campers at the domestic arrivals area with a DIRT CAMP sign. Bikes should be properly packed to ensure safe travel and avoid damages.
