Created by Jeff Silas in 1996, Dirt Camp stands as one of Canada's largest and most complete mountain bike camps. Our focus is threefold:
1. We teach campers the skills and abilities needed to be faster on a bike over rough terrain; by teaching the fundamentals of downhill, freeride, dirt jump and trials we offer a skill set that translates well to all disciplines of mountain bike riding.
2. The maintenance and upkeep of a mountain bike is crucial to a rider's enjoyment of the sport. We offer mechanic clinics daily, and campers are always welcome and encouraged to ask questions about how their bikes work, and to participate in their own repairs.
3. Respect for ourselves and others is just as important on the trail as it is in our daily lives. At Dirt Camp, we follow the International Mountain Bike Association's 'Rules of the Trail', and try to pass on our own moral code to the campers, encouraging a safe and respectful new generation of riders.
Dirt Camp is a unique, comprehensive mountain bike experience where fun, exercise and learning are the top priorities.
